Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Kathmandu Airport - Arrival (Approx Distance: 15 Km)

Meeting at airport upon arrival by Office Personnel. Transfer to hotel. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and the Kathmandu Valley is the political and cultural heart of the Kingdom. The urban sprawl that makes up modern Kathmandu is in fact two cities, Patan and Kathmandu.

Day 2

Kathmandu - Full Day Sightseeing

Early morning breakfast - Guest start the sightseeing tour in few major places in Kathmandu - 1- Pashupatinath Temple (This temple was classified as a World Heritage Site in 1979. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Baghmati River", and is one of seven monument groups in UNESCO's designation of Kathmandu Valley) 2- Gunjeshwari peeth (When Shiva was insulted by his father-in-law (i.e., Daksha), his wife Sati Devi was so angry that she jumped into the flames of the yagya 3- Boudh Stupa (Boudha Stupa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site) 4- Buddhaneelkantha/Sleeping Vishnu/Jal Narayan (Hindu open-air temple dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu. Budhanilkantha Temple is situated below the Shivapuri Hill at the northern end of the Kathmandu valley.) 5- Syambhu/Monkey Stupa (The complex consists of a stupa, a variety of shrines and temples, some dating back to the Licchavi period. A Tibetan monastery, museum and library are more recent additions. The stupa has Buddha's eyes and eyebrows painted on. Between them, the number one (in Devanagari script) is painted in the fashion of a nose.) 6- Kathmandu Durbar Square Kathmandu Durbar Square is the plaza in front of the old royal palace of the then Kathmandu Kingdom. It is listed under the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The preference for the construction of royal palaces at this site dates back to as early as the Licchavi period in the third century. It holds the palaces of the Malla and Shah kings who ruled over the city.. Along with these palaces, the square surrounds quadrangles revealing courtyards and temples. It is known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, a name derived from a statue of Hanuman, the monkey devotee of Lord Ram, at the entrance of the palace. Major attractions of Kathmandu Durbar Square are Living Goddess, Kumari, Kasthamandap, Ashok Binayak, Kaal Bhairav, Jagannath temple, Kotilingeswara Mahadev, Mahendreswara, and three-roofed Taleju Temple. Night stay at hotel / resort in Kathmandu.

Day 3

Kathmandu to Chitwan - Transfer (Approx Distance: 180 KMS)

Early Morning Breakfast Check Out From The Hotel and Proceed to Chitwan. Next nearly 175 Kilometres 5 - 6 hours drive - Drive to Chitwan - Situated in the Terai plains Chitwan offers pure retreat to the Jungle lovers and nature i.e. forest lovers - The Chitwan has had a long history of conservation - It was the Royal hunting grounds for the Kings and dignitaries of Nepal - It became a favorite spot for big game safari hunters in the late nineteenth and early to mid - twentieth century – Chitwan is a destinations where guest can enjoy jungle observation at Chitwan National park - The highlight being the Elephant Safari in the jungles which will be around evening depending on the time guest reach the resort - After the Elephant ride one can enjoy a slide show or Tharu Folk Dance (Optional) – Evening free for village walk and sunset view. Overnight Stay at hotel in Chitwan.

Day 4

Chitwan to Pokhara (Jungle Activities in Chitwan & drive to Pokhara) - 155 KM. 4-5 HOURS

Chitwan national Park is widely acknowledged as one of the best national parks in Asia, it lies in the Terai region of southern Nepal. During your stay in Chitwan National Park you will get chance to experience an amazing wildlife. Canoe Trip: You can enjoy having canoe trip either in the Rapti River or in the Budhi Rapti River which are border of the National Park also. You can see two types of crocodiles, the Gharial and Mugger basking on the river bank. You can do elephant safari, birds watching, jungle safari, culture program, elephant bathing, and crocodile walk. After Lunch, Drive to Pokhara & transfer to hotel in Pokhara. Evening walk around lakeside area of Pokhara. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 5

Pokhara - Full Day Sightseeing

Early breakfast move from hotel till 10:30 am for enjoying Pokhara following sight seen with natural Annapurna rage excursion 1-Vindhyasini-------The main temple is devoted to goddess Bindhyabasini, a Bhagawati who is the incarnation of Kali. There are smaller temples of goddess Saraswati, Shiva, Hanuman, Ganesha in the premises. The temple is situated atop a small hill and can be accessed via stone staircases on the East and North East. The views of the Himalayas from the North of the temple are breathtaking while from the South one can see the expanse of Pokhara city. 2-Mahendra Cave-------- This is a rare example of a cave system in Nepal containing stalagmites and stalactites. This show cave attracts thousands of tourists every year. A statue of Hindu lord Shiva can be found inside the cave. 3- Gorakha museum- (Dedicated to Indian army) 4-Gupteshwar Cave---(Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is a cave located opposite to Davis Fall, the water from Davis falls passes through this cave. Gupteshwor Mahadev cave is one of the major attractions of Pokhara) 5- Thundering David’s water fall (Its Nepali name is Patale Chango, which literal meaning is Paatal KO Chango means "Underworld's Waterfall". [3] This is one of the most visited places in Nepal.) 6- Fewa Lake (Tal Barahi Temple also known as Lake Temple or Barahi Temple is a two-story pagoda temple located in the Kaski District of the Gandaki Zone in western Nepal.[2] It is a Hindu temple of the Goddess Durga (Barahi), the protector of gods. It is located in a small island on the south east section of Phewa Lake in Pokhara. The temple is used for worship by Hindus. It can be reached by taking a boat from the Shore of Phewa Lake to reach Tal Barahi temple. Evening free to stroll around the area – Night stay at Pokhara

Day 6

Pokhara to Kathmandu - Transfer Enroute Sightseeing

Early Morning breakfast check out hotel. you will drive to Kathmandu is 210 kms from Pokhara and is a 7 hours drive approx. In goodweather there are splendid views right from the hotel. On the way you have an option of doing river rafting or visit the Manakamna Temple “Goddess of Fulfilling Wishes” where you are taken by a cable ride (at extra cost) of 9 mins. Once you reach Kathmandu , check-in to your hotel and relax for some time.

Day 7

Kathmandu to Nagarkot & Bhaktapur - Day Trip Excursion

Excursion trip to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is situated 35 kilometers, 1.5 hrs drive east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,175 meters. The panoramic view of the major peaks including Mt. Everest can be seen from here. This place is also famous for viewing sunrise and sunset. On the way to Nagarkot at 17 kms stop for Bhaktapur. Perhaps the least changed of all the cities in the Kathmandu Valley, with a distinct medieval feel. Pottery and weaving are still traditional industries here. Architectural wonders abound, including the Palace of Fifty Five Windows, Golden Gate and the magnificent five-storied pagoda-style Nyatapola Temple. Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.

Day 8

Kathmandu Airport - Departure

Morning will be comparatively free and closer to the time of your flight you will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight for onward journey.
